They’re already making waves, surpassing 40 million downloads on platforms like Hugging Face.

To back these AI advancements, Alibaba Cloud rolled out a revamped infrastructure with cutting-edge cloud products, including upgrades to its proprietary model Qwen-Max and new multimodal capabilities like text-to-video generation. Their goal? Empower global developers and businesses to leverage AI at scale.

OpenAI Might Raise ChatGPT Prices to $44 by 2029

OpenAI may hike the price of its ChatGPT Plus subscription to $44 per month by 2029, up from the current $20. A smaller increase to $22 could come as soon as the end of this year, according to The New York Times, which cites internal OpenAI documents.

The pricing shift reflects pressure from investors as OpenAI works to narrow its losses, despite hitting $300 million in monthly revenue in August. The company still expects to lose around $5 billion this year, due in part to heavy costs for staffing, office space, and maintaining its AI infrastructure.

With ChatGPT costing OpenAI as much as $700,000 per day to operate, higher prices might be necessary—but could risk pushback from users who already consider $20 a bit steep.
